Uganda Law Students Association holds its Launch at Cavendish University Uganda.



The Uganda Law Students Association (ULSA) was born out of the need to create a space that can unite all Law societies in Uganda and enable not only interaction but cultivate discussion of aspects and issues concerning the Law.

ULSA was launched at Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) on 23rd October, 2019 under the theme, “Building bridges in the pursuit of justice.” It was graced by Her Worship Flavia Nasunna Matovu, the Deputy Chief Inspectorate of Courts, as Guest of Honour, who stood in for the Chief Inspectorate of Courts, Hon. Justice Opio Aweri.

The event was well attended by 11 Law Societies in Uganda which comprised; Gulu University Law Society, Uganda Christian University Law Society Mukono, Grotius Law Society, Makerere Law Society, Kampala International University Law Society, Bishop Stuart University Law Society, Nkumba University Law Society, St Augustine International University Law Society, IUIU Law Society Kampala Campus and Cavendish University Law Society.

Prominent guests in attendance included; representatives from Coffee with Alice and the Legal Innovation hub, the CUU Deputy Vice Chancellor and Dean, Faculty of Law, Dr, Olive Sabiiti, the Chairman, CUU Alumni Association, Mr. James Okurut, among others.

The Patron of ULSA, Ms. Pheona Wall, who is also the Vice President of Uganda Law Society, and a student at Cavendish University Uganda appreciated CUU for hosting such a colourful and memorable event.
