Cavendish University Students’ Procurement Association in conjunction with lecturers from the Faculty of Business and Management organized a procurement conference on 04th May, 2019 with the Chief guest being Dr. Alex Ijjo- the Faculty Dean of Business and Management. The overall aim of the workshop was to augment classroom lectures with practical applications and insights from the market place. The event attracted other students from Makerere, KIU and Kyambogo Universities.
Several prominent and knowledgeable practicing professionals also participated in the conference among whom were; Mr. Kasamba Alex Ofoyoru the Principal Procurement Officer -Ministry of Finance; Mr. Makumbi Grace the Materials Manager – Roofings Uganda Limited; and Mr. Cankwo Paul the Senior Procurement Manager -Africa Help International.
