PUBLIC LECTURE ON UGANDA CAPITAL MARKETS

Theme: “The Capital markets role in mobilization of savings and capital formation for post covid-19 economic growth.”  

The Faculty of Business and Management invites all students belonging to the Faculty to attend a Public Lecture about Uganda’s Capital Markets by the Capital markets Authority.

Capital Markets provide an avenue through which Ugandans can invest their savings into profitable businesses as long term capital for growth and expansion.

Presenters

Keynote Speaker: Mr. Martin Owiny

He is the Executive Director of Jomo Investments and Trustee Services. He is also a Trustee for MTN Mobile Money LTD. He is a Governing Council Member of the All Saints University in Lira, Uganda. He is on the Board of Trustees of the Makerere University Endowment Fund. He was also Executive Director at KCB BANK UGANDA and he held roles at Stanbic Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Mr. Terrence Jason Tumwine

Mr. Tumwine is a Senior Research Officer at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and will give a word on behalf of the CMA. 

CFA Ronald Kasolo

Mr. Kasolo is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and is the General Manager of Britam Asset Managers – Uganda which is one of six licensed Collective Investment Scheme Managers and Fund Managers.

Mr. Owen Kato

Mr. Kato is the General Manager of ICEA Asset Management – Uganda. which is one of six licensed Collective Investment Scheme Managers and Fund Managers.
