The 2019 National rounds of the National Centre for International Arbitration (NCIA) moot were held at Cavendish University Uganda’s Faculty of Law campus on 25th May, 2019. NCIA is based in Nairobi, Kenya and was established as a Centre for promotion of International commercial arbitration and alternative forms of dispute resolution.
Dr. Amollo Rebecca, the Faculty’s Deputy Dean gave the opening remarks at the fully sponsored Moot which attracted a number of other Law Schools within Uganda including; Uganda Christian University, Makerere University, Kampala International University and Islamic University. Participants were awarded by the Chairman of NCIA, Mr. Arthur Igeria with a compendium of Alternative Dispute Resolution Laws of East Africa and certificates of participation.
