A team of 3 Cavendish University Uganda representatives led by the Faculty Dean of Science and Technology, Prof Zake Muwanga attended the Laboremus workshop at Clarke International University on 12th June, 2019. The purpose of the event was to celebrate the launch of the Refactory Tech Programme whose aim is to advance the Ugandan tech industry to compete globally.
The workshop was well attended and among the notable guests was Hon. Frank Tumwebaze, the Cabinet Minister of Information Technology & Communications. Cavendish University is planning a collaboration with Laboremus which, if successful will help with placements and further training of IT/ Computer Science students in programming to standards that Industries desire.
