The Cavendish Newspaper was launched at the Department of Journalism & Media Communication Studies on 16th December, 2019. “The Cavendish” is purposed to report about Cavendish University Uganda’s achievements and milestones for both staff & students, and any other newsworthy and trending topics. It covers a wide array of sections to include; opinion polls, sports, lifestyles, student life & experiences, the CUU Newsletter, among others.
The articles are sourced and written by the Journalism students with the assistance of their department heads who review the Newspaper before it can be let out. The Newspaper is therefore a practical outlet for the journalism students to showcase their acquired skillset and creativity with the validation of their staff.
