The Careers and Employability Week held from 15th– 22nd October 2021 was opened by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. John F. Mugisha, moderated by the Careers & Employability Officer, Mr. Bernard Ochan and closed by the Executive Director, Mr. David Mutabanura.
The virtual event themed; “Preparing Graduates for Post-University Employment,” attracted the participation of many students and external guests, including a strong panel of presenters with Hon. Ralph Ochan, the Head of the Uganda Public Service Commission as the Guest of Honour.
The goal of the CUU Virtual Careers and Employability Week was to help students to develop life-long skills that they can apply while seeking out opportunities to gain experience and serve within their chosen career fields through employment in fellowships, part-time jobs, internships, job placements, and beginning their own businesses. Students in attendance were able to acquire employability knowledge and skills relevant for the 21st century workplace.

It was a highly engaging week that was greatly appreciated by the students especially those in their 2nd and 3rd Year. The Guest of Honour promised to come again to lecture the students pursuing International Relations and Diplomatic Studies about International Law.
