A team of students and staff from the Faculty of Science and Technology represented Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) at the prestigious Innovation challenge of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) on 25th June, 2019.
The event which was held under the theme,” Power, Energy & Smart Village Awareness Drive, 2019″, at the Resilience Africa Network (RAN) saw CUU emerge second with the “Public Taxi, Uganda App”, and Makerere University as the winners with their “Wamu Group Savings App”.
The function was graced by Mercy Chelangat, the Secretary, Power Energy Society-Kenya and IEEE Smart Village Ambassador East Africa and sponsored by IEEE and Silver Bullet.
