Cavendish University Uganda emerges 2nd Best at Virtual 12th Annual NCHE Exhibition



Cavendish University was awarded for emerging 2nd Best at the first Virtual Higher Education Exhibition (VHEE) organised by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) under the theme; “Innovation for Current and Emerging Challenges and Opportunities under the COVID-19 pandemic”.

The virtual exhibition which took place took place between 10th – 12th Nov 2021 was also the 12th Annual NCHE Exhibition.

53 institutions participated in the Exhibition and these were classified in three main categories, namely; Public and Private Chartered Universities, Provisionally Licensed Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions (OTIs).

The Award assessment criteria was based on the level of innovation and research, engagement, instant feedback, number of clicks and booth visitors, the attractiveness of the booth, content in relation to the theme, nature of reviews, among others.

Cavendish University emerged 2nd best in the category of Provisionally Licensed Universities based on its student innovations, high quality video content, informative faculty presentations, number of visitors and a high booth visitor rating of 4.6 out of a maximum of 5.

The Award Ceremony took place on 03rd December 2021 at the NCHE Headquarters, where the Executive Director for NCHE, Prof. Mary Okwakol presented the CUU Award to the DVC, Dr. Olive Sabiiti, the Sales and Marketing Director, Mr. Fredrick Mufta and the Executive Assistant, Ms. Sandra Nabagereka.
