A team of students and administrators from Cavendish University Uganda under the leadership of Prof. Zake Muwanga, the Faculty Dean of Science and Technology attended the 8th East African Information Security Conference on 15th August, 2019 at the Commonwealth Resort Munyonyo.
The purpose of the conference was to reach out to Academic Institutions to introduce university students to industry relevant skills and knowledge subsequent to the need for digital fluency in the world today.
Under the theme, “Evolving Digital Disruption”, University students and administrators were engaged in a blend of presentations ranging from Data Protection, Cloud Computing, Block chain Technology, and Cyber Security, among others. The event also marked the start of future cooperation between Cavendish University Uganda and ISACA Kampala Chapter which is seeking to grow student awareness and participation in the Industry.
