CUU Dean, Faculty of Law Appointed to the International Advisory Board for African Law Students’ Association (ALSA)



Cavendish University Uganda’s Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Omolade Olomola was appointed as a member of the International Advisory Board for African Law Students’ Association (ALSA) on 06th March 2023. This prestigious appointment is a demonstration of Prof. Olomola’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession and her commitment to promoting legal development in Africa.

ALSA is a leading organisation for law students and young lawyers in Africa, and its International Advisory Board is comprised of influential figures in the legal academic world and professionals who are experts in legal development. As a member of this esteemed board, Prof. Olomola will play a crucial role in mentoring young lawyers and law students, championing the spirit of pan-Africanism, and promoting robust legal development in Africa.

Other members of the Board include; Prof.  PLO Lumumba, Founder of the PLO Lumumba Foundation, and Advocate of the High Courts of Kenya and Tanganyika, Prof. Kenneth Nunn of the University of Florida, Dr Faith Kabata, the Dean of Kenyatta University Law School and Prof. Abubakar Matazu, the Dean of Law of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Nigeria. The Board serves as the sole Body with the jurisdiction to render both legal and strategic advice to ALSA.
