Cavendish University Uganda Voted Best Private University at 2023 Consumers’ Choice Awards

Once again, CUU was proudly voted the Best Private University in Uganda at the 2023 Consumers’ Choice Awards. Consumers’ Choice Awards (CCA) were established with the sole purpose of recognising business excellence for businesses. They are a true reflection of the marketplace as they represent the opinion of consumers and buyers across Uganda.

This year, Cavendish University Uganda was the recipient of the prestigious Platinum Award in the category of the Best Private University in Uganda. This remarkable recognition marks the university’s fifth consecutive year of winning this award in the same category. From 2019 to 2021, Cavendish University was honoured with the Gold award, and from 2022 to date, the University has proudly secured the Platinum award, which is the highest form of recognition at the Consumers’ Choice Awards. These accolades symbolize CUU’s unwavering dedication to excellence and the University’s consistent pursuit of greatness.

The Award was received on 01st September at the awards ceremony held at Golf Course Hotel, Kampala, by a team of 5 Cavendish staff led by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Olive Sabiiti. Other members included; the Dean, Faculty of Law- Prof. Omolade Olomola, Dean, Faculty of Business & Management- Dr Faith Ahabyoona, the Executive Assistant – Ms. Sandra Nabagereka and Ms. Francisca Tebitendwa, the Marketing & Outreach Manager.

The awards ceremony was graced by the Minister of State for Trade, Industry and Cooperatives in the Cabinet of Uganda, Hon. David Bahati as the Chief Guest, who ably represented the Rt Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda.

In his remarks, Hon. Minister David Bahati highlighted that, ‘‘As government, in the context of consumer protection and recognising the performance of companies, our role is continuing to drive and the private sector remains the engine.”

Mr. Salim Bari, the CEO, Consumers’ Choice Awards explained that the awards recognise the top performers who have not only been able to excel in their fields but also won the hearts of the consumers.

The ceremony was highly attended by several product and service providers in the private sector, who were excelling in their respective domains.

It is their relentless commitment to excellence that has been consistently acknowledged and appreciated by our esteemed consumers, year after year.
