University Librarian

Person Specifications

1. A Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or Information Science; a PhD is an added advantage
2. A minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in an academic/university library, at least 3 of which in a supervisory or management role
3. Demonstrated experience managing digital libraries, e- resources and library management systems
4. Working knowledge of NCHE library standards for higher-education institutions and international best practice in academic library management
5. Proven leadership, budgeting and staff-supervision skills
