Target Group



The MSc IT programme will attract students with a wide range of backgrounds. It is assumed that entering students will have a common background obtained through an undergraduate degree in the IT field. Whereas the MIT programme will attract experienced individuals including IT professionals, it will also be suitable for people seeking career changes. The design of the MIT programme accommodates this wide diversity of backgrounds and learning environments. Specifically, the MIT programme is appropriate for:

  1. Graduates with degrees in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, business degrees; and other bachelor’s degrees in a range of fields including the engineering, physical sciences, humanities, and social sciences, with evidence of having undertaken relevant courses or certifications in ICT.
  2. Experienced IT professionals seeking to upgrade skills and understand modern IT management approaches.

  3.  Experienced professionals seeking skills in Information Technology Management.
  4. Postgraduate diploma holders in computing (Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering) who wish to upgrade to master’s level.
