Rights for the Vulnerable Foundation Internship Call for Applications



CALL FOR INTERNSHIP APPLICATIONS WITH RIGHTS FOR THE VULNERABLE FOUNDATION

As we commit to our mission and vision, we partner with Industry as a way of building sustainable partnerships that will drive this objective. CUU therefore invites applications from final year students in the disciplines of law, media studies, and international relations to fill in 20 to 30 internship positions with Rights for the Vulnerable Foundation (RVF). It is a community-based organization and registered as an NGO working in Uganda. RVF is a Foundation that works with people with disabilities, and people in hardship in society registered as an NGO. The foundation engages in social, economic, and educational activities, and looks forward to bring vulnerable groups on board, they run projects in education, farming, health, environmental conservation, economic empowerment, and advocacy for the rights of People with Disability.

The internship with RVF is an opportunity to develop employability and entrepreneurial skills aimed at attracting talented young men and women eco-activists, who are strongly motivated to fight wildlife extinction and protect the environment from degradation. It will provide an avenue for hands-on, practical learning with people with disabilities, and people in hardship in society while engaging in social, economic, and educational activities, and looking forward to bring vulnerable groups on board, they run projects in education, farming, health, environmental conservation, economic empowerment, and advocacy for rights of People with Disability. RVF is having internship opportunities in the following fields:

  1. Procurement and logistics
  2. Human Resource Management
  3. Operations
  4. Finance
  5. Management
  6. Project

By the end of the internship, the interns will gain valuable hands-on experience and exposure in procurement, human resources, operations, management, and projects writing.

  1. Selection Requirements
    • The applicant must be a student of Cavendish University Uganda, fully registered, and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree Programme. The internship is also open to recent graduates of the University.
    • Must be a final year student, or a student waiting for graduation.
  2. Highly Desirable Qualities
    • Ready to evolve and develop as an eco-activist
    • Innovative has a clear sense of purpose and courage to pursue lasting and meaningful change
    • Participation in Extra-curricular activities
    • Good command of written English, a quick thinker, problem solver
  3. How to Apply
    • State in 250 words why you would like to be considered for the internship
    • Current CV/Resume
    • Evidence of clearance of all University dues
