PesaPal Payment Platform: University Fees Payment for International Students Made Easier

Greetings,

We wish to inform you that the University has introduced another option of paying school fees called Pesapal. With Pesapal, Our International Students paying in Dollars can now pay their Tuition and fees online using their Debit/Credit Card conveniently in the comfort of their homes. Other students can continue using SchoolPay available on MTN Mobile Money & Airtel Money.

To use this platform option, here are the procedures you need to know;

1. Log on to the Pesapal platform and enter your Student Information details as prompted;

Please Note:

  1. If Student ID field is not filled, you will not progress to the next level.
  2. Each student already has a six-figure unique number (Student ID numbers) that was assigned by the university e.g. 000001. While filling in the Student ID details, students will add the university acronym (CUU) as a prefix when entering student code. For example, CUU000001 (No space in between)
  3. Other fields too e.g., name, e-mail, telephone contact should be populated accordingly.
  4. All amounts paid will attract a 3.2% charge. That is to say, the net amount (after deducting 3.2% of the total amount paid) is what will be credited on the university account and subsequently on the student’s account.
  5. The net amounts paid will take 3 – 4 working days to be credited on the student’s account.

2. Select payment option (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).

The address required at this point is that of the bank that issued the debit /credit card being used.

Check in the box on the extreme right to confirm if the payment details entered are correct.

3.Enter Credit Card details.

Card number, Expiration date, Card Verification Value (CVV). The CVV is the 3- or 4-digit number at the back of your card (it adds an extra layer of security when making purchases online or over the phone).

4. You will receive an e-mail /SMS confirmation confirming your payment transaction is complete/successful.
