- To prepare students for further education
- To prepare students for entrance into undergraduate degree/diploma programmes and thereby:
- Introduce students to the culture of higher education and university life.
- Provide a structured framework to support students to become self-directed learners in acquiring a range of transferable skills for undergraduate study.
- To provide the opportunity to develop leadership, team working and supervisory skills in order to work effectively in the setting of a contemporary multidisciplinary team and to begin to make independent decisions with appropriate support
- To provide each student with a variety of workplace experience during their programme in order to best inform career choice.
