Mr. Mugumya Ivan

Mugumya Ivan is a dedicated academic, consultant, and public health expert with over five years of experience teaching in universities and health training institutions. He is a certified medical educationist and registered Medical Tutor under Uganda’s Ministry of Education and Sports. He is also registered with the Allied Health Professionals’ Council and holds active membership with the Environmental Health Workers Association of Uganda (EHWAU), where he serves as an Adviser to the Executive Committee on the Association’s SACCO. Ivan is currently pursuing a PhD in Environmental Health and holds a Master of Public Health (Reproductive Health and Population), a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health.

In addition to academia, he has over a decade of consultancy experience in public health, environmental health, HIV/AIDS prevention, occupational safety, healthcare waste management, and social safeguards. Ivan is widely recognized for his ability to integrate practical field knowledge with research and policy to address complex public and environmental health issues. He combines academic rigor with practical field experience to train future health professionals and conduct evidence-based research aimed at addressing pressing public health challenges
