Internship Opportunity in M&E

VVOB is supporting the Ministry of Education and Sports in implementing TaRL+ @ Play in 28 schools in Adjumani district of Northern Uganda to improve foundational literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional learning (SEL). Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) is a remedial teaching programme providing learners in P3, P4, and P5 with foundational skills in numeracy and literacy. Many of these learners did not acquire these skills in the early grades and are unable to read, write, or perform basic numeracy operations. By using the TaRL methodology, learners are assessed and grouped according to their learning levels, rather than by age or grade, and receive targeted instruction based on their competencies. In 14 of the 28 pilot schools, learners also benefit from SEL boosters which are short, engaging activities used to promote SEL.
