Maganda Evans Tabingwa - Distance Learning Coordinator
Maganda Evans Tabingwa is an IT scholar-practitioner with a wide range of management-IT contemporary skills spanning over 10 years. He holds a Bachelor’s degree-first class, of Computer Science and Information Technology and a Master of Science in Systems Software Engineering from Kampala International University. Being a lifelong learner, Mr. Maganda is currently pursuing a PhD in Management-Information Systems from Walden University (USA). At PhD level he has so far ably completed and presented projects on: Future management and global leadership, Complexities and applied systems thinking; perspectives on organizations and their implications for leaders; critical reading and writing skills; Organization diagnostic reading & storyline projects.
Besides conventional Academia, Mr. Maganda is an International Computer Driving License (ICDL) expert and an Oracle certified professional 11g database administrator. Initially joining Cavendish University Uganda in 2014 as a part-time lecturer, he is now the Coordinator for the Distance Learning programme, bringing with him 3 years’ experience in online platform management. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Devine ElectroTech Services Ltd.
Besides his academic profile, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); receiver of the Outstanding Youth Leadership Award for Busoga region (2011), Minister for ICT in Butembe Chiefdom and Chief advisor/Planner Busoga Youth desk. He has strong passion for utilizing ICT to create social change in Africa!
