Dr. Solomon T. Wafula

Dr. Solomon Wafula is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Health at Cavendish University. He holds a PhD in Medicine (Epidemiology) from the University of Hamburg, Germany; Master of Public Health from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom; Master of Epidemiology from the University of Antwerp, Belgium and Bachelor of Environmental Health Science from Makerere University, Uganda. His research is in Global Health, Environmental and Tropical diseases epidemiology and has published over 65 papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

In 2025, he won Drs. Anvar and Pari Velji Young African Leader Award for exceptional ability and commitment to improving the wellbeing of individuals in low-income settings.
