
Dr. Busuulwa Huthaifah Abdallah is a lecturer in the Department of International Relations and Diplomatic Studies at Cavendish University Uganda. He is also the graduate research coordinator at the faculty of socio-economic sciences. He most recently worked as a Peacebuilding and Violence Prevention Officer at the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities on the USAID-funded ‘Ugandans for Peace’ project, which aimed to prevent electoral violence before, during, and after Uganda’s 2026 elections. He earned a PhD in Civilization Studies from Ibn Haldun University, where he researched value-based arguments and the transition to a low-carbon economy. Busuulwa has vast experience with peacebuilding and violence prevention. He has worked on a number of initiatives, including the development of a regional strategy and action plan on Women, Peace, and Security for the East African Community, in conjunction with UN Women. His Master’s thesis investigated Islam and diversity management in multi-religious societies, with a focus on the Interreligious Council of Uganda. He has written on themes like xenophobia, humanitarian assistance, and climate change activism. He previously worked for Ibn Haldun University, Turkuaz Media Group, and the Aziz Mahmud Hudayi Foundation.
