Domino Dynamics

The Dignity & Skills Cycle is a bold, community-powered model that tackles women’s livelihoods and girls’ education simultaneously. By training women in Katanga, Kampala, as skilled tailors and organizing them into a self-run cooperative, the project turns local production of reusable sanitary pads into a source of steady income and dignity. As women earn, girls stay in school, creating a sustainable cycle of skills, health, and opportunity.

SafeSip ensures safe, clean water access for pupils in schools and surrounding communities via water purification systems. It promotes engagement through Rugby Awareness Days with workshops and mini-tournaments, fostering unity, raising hygiene awareness, and curbing water-borne diseases through sport.

This community piggery project improves income and food security for 60 KIST Group members from 23 families using a low-cost, sustainable model. Piglets are distributed to 10 pioneers, who pass on two each at first birth, creating a ripple effect to reach all members over three years while leveraging local resources, skills, and teamwork.

Established in August 2022 by two unemployed nurse graduates in South Sudan, this young mothers' group began with daily savings. Membership grew steadily, enabling shared funds and business launches. Today, members sell produce, farm vegetables, run drug shops, and operate salons, building resilience amid economic challenges and laying foundations for long-term stability.

This project empowers women facing financial and food insecurity through community savings and sustainable livestock programs. It supports returnees from IDP camps, addressing confidence, mentorship, gender stereotypes, and skills gaps while building internal strength such as self-esteem and resilience. Health services, education, leadership, and economic opportunity are integrated into one holistic empowerment model.

This women-led initiative in Sherikat Market, Juba, boosts household income and food security. Through a sustainable, step-by-step growth model, participants start small, reinvest profits via structured savings, and scale collectively. It fosters entrepreneurship, fresh produce access, and lasting economic independence for women and their communities.
