Mr Bernard Ochan is a prolific higher education leader and Dean of Students at Cavendish University Uganda, with a unique blend of expertise in student affairs, employability, and holistic student development. He brings together extensive experience as an educationist, careers and employability trainer, researcher, and public administrator to design and deliver impactful programmes that prepare students for success in academics, leadership, and the world of work.

What distinguishes Mr Ochan is his ability to connect strategy with practice. He has led transformative initiatives in student governance, wellness, career development, and alumni engagement, while also building strong partnerships with employers, professional bodies, and international institutions. His work consistently bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world readiness, ensuring that students access meaningful opportunities that strengthen their confidence, skills, and global outlook.

In his leadership roles, he oversees student affairs systems that integrate welfare, governance, leadership development, co-curricular engagement, and employability pathways.
