Cavendish University has welcomed a team of eight (8) Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC) volunteers, marking another milestone in strengthening academic collaboration and regional partnerships. Their deployment, effected on 15th October 2025, represents Nigeria’s continued commitment to supporting human capacity development and advancing education across Africa.

A handover ceremony held on 17th October 2025 at the Nigerian High Commission in Kampala brought together Cavendish University’s Heads of Departments, alongside officials from the Commission, to officially receive the volunteers. The ceremony underlined the strong and growing ties between Uganda and Nigeria in promoting educational innovation and sustainable growth.

The NTAC professionals contribute extensive expertise across critical disciplines essential to CUU’s mission, including Law, Public Administration, Security and Strategic Studies, Mass Communication, Computer Science, and Project Management. Their diverse backgrounds are expected to enrich teaching, research, and mentorship within the university, while fostering a deeper culture of academic excellence and innovation.

Through the NTAC programme, Nigeria deploys highly skilled professionals to partner countries as part of its foreign policy commitment to technical cooperation and knowledge exchange. The initiative aims to bridge human resource gaps, promote institutional growth, and strengthen collaboration among African, Caribbean, and Pacific (ACP) nations.

Cavendish University Uganda recognises this partnership as a meaningful contribution to its vision of transforming education in Africa. The presence of the NTAC volunteers will not only enhance the university’s academic landscape but also inspire the next generation of leaders to think globally and act with purpose.
