
On 13th June 2026, leadership, service, and a shared commitment to transforming communities took centre stage at Cavendish University Uganda as the Rotaract Club celebrated a landmark Installation Ceremony. The event marked the beginning of a new leadership chapter, welcomed emerging change makers into the Rotary family, and reaffirmed the university’s dedication to nurturing graduates who lead with purpose and serve with impact.
The ceremony brought together Rotarians, Rotaractors, university leaders, and guests from across the Rotary network in a vibrant celebration of fellowship, excellence, and community service. It was a moment to reflect on the club’s achievements, recognize outstanding contributions, and set the tone for another year of meaningful impact.
The event was graced by the Executive Director of Cavendish University Uganda, Rotarian David Mutabanura, who attended as Chief Guest. In recognition of his unwavering commitment to service and his support for youth-led community initiatives, he was inducted as an Honorary Member of the Rotaract Club of Cavendish University Uganda. Demonstrating his belief in the power of young people to drive positive change, Rtn. David Mutabanura pledged UGX 2 million towards the club’s upcoming community project. The contribution serves as a significant boost to the club’s efforts to deliver sustainable impact and meaningful service within communities.

A major highlight of the ceremony was the induction of five new members into the Rotaract Club of Cavendish University Uganda. Their admission into the club signals the continued growth of a vibrant community of young leaders dedicated to service, professional development, and social responsibility. The event also celebrated excellence by recognizing and awarding outstanding members whose dedication, commitment, and contributions have played a vital role in advancing the club’s mission and strengthening its impact over the past year.

In a symbolic moment that underscored the club’s continued growth and maturity, the Rotaract Club proudly installed its 5th President. The leadership transition marks the beginning of a new chapter, with renewed energy and a shared vision to expand the club’s reach, deepen community engagement, and inspire more young people to embrace service above self. The ceremony attracted representatives from 29 Rotaract Clubs, 3 Rotary Clubs, and 1 Interact Club, reflecting the strength of collaboration and fellowship within the wider Rotary family. Their presence highlighted the collective commitment to building stronger communities through service, leadership, and partnership.
