Cavendish University Uganda Joins Rotary in Delivering Life-Changing Health Services to Ngora District

Cavendish University furthered its commitment to social responsibility by actively participating in Rotary’s Kapir Free Medical Camp, hosted at Kapir Health Centre III in Ngora District from October 24th to 25th, 2025. This impactful event aligned perfectly with the University’s mission as a Rotary corporate member to champion meaningful community service and support local health initiatives.

The camp, organised by the Rotary Club of Kampala and the Rotary Club of Ngora, alongside other partners, delivered a broad range of free medical services—from general consultations and dental care to HIV testing, family planning, immunizations, cancer screening, maternal and child health, and more. These vital services benefited hundreds of residents, reinforcing Cavendish University Uganda (CUU)’s ethos of using knowledge for societal benefit.

“Engagements like the Kapir Free Medical Camp are central to our vision of transformative education and community partnership,” said the Executive Director, Mr David Mutabanura. Drawing from its rotary membership, Cavendish University leveraged this opportunity to provide hands-on support outside the traditional classroom setting. The experience also strengthened the University’s ongoing collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kampala, Uganda’s oldest Rotary Club, marking another chapter in Cavendish’s expanding community service footprint.

Participating in this memorable event advanced CUU’s community engagement agenda to be leaders and change agents in society.
