Cavendish University Uganda Joins Rotary Club of Kampala as a Corporate Member

Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) is thrilled to announce its new status as a corporate member of the Rotary Club of Kampala, the very first Rotary Club in Uganda! As the birthplace of Rotary in the country, this esteemed club has long been a hub for leaders and aspiring changemakers eager to connect with influential, service-oriented individuals.

Yesterday, in an inspiring ceremony held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel, two of our dedicated staff members—Ms Sandra Nabagereka, Head of Communications and Executive Assistant, and Mr Samson Rubaihayo, Lawyer and Lecturer at the Faculty of Law—were proudly inducted as CUU’s representatives of this corporate membership.

This partnership opens the door to a wealth of opportunities for CUU, including collaboration, mentorship, and meaningful community service initiatives. To solidify this exciting relationship, our Executive Director, Mr. David Mutabanura—who is also a proud member of the Rotary Club—signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Club’s President during yesterday’s event. Additionally, Mr. Phenny Birungi, former Assistant Executive Director of NCHE, signed CUU’s Rotary certificate, further endorsing our commitment to this partnership. Adding to the celebration, Mr. Mutabanura was honored as the Guest Speaker and received the Board Member of the Month award!

As we embark on this journey with the Rotary Club of Kampala, we look forward to enhancing our community impact and fostering leadership development within our university and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates on our collaborative efforts!
