Two CUU Alumni were called to the Bar on Monday, 06th February 2023 following the successful completion of their professional legal training at the Gambia Law School.
The recent graduates include; Modou Lamin Jammeh, a former Cavendish Law Society Speaker, and Mariama Tabally, a former Guild Vice President at CUU. Both alumni graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Cavendish University Uganda in 2021.

A total of seventy-two Gambian and International students were called to the bar at the event which marked the 11th Annual Call to the Bar, one of the series of activities marking the opening of the 2023 Legal Year.
When asked about his experience, Modou Lamin Jammeh expressed how completing his professional legal training fulfilled a long-cherished dream of service to his Nation. “My entire journey in pursuit of Law is self-fulfilling and at the same time exciting to say the least, especially from a foreign jurisdiction,” he attested.
At the event, Justice Hassan B. Jallow, Chief Justice of the Gambia urged the graduates to be dedicated and work hard for the rest of their careers in order to become successful lawyers.
