The Nuremberg Moot Court is an international competition, held in English in Nuremberg, Germany.
University teams from all over the world are invited to argue a fictitious case before the International Criminal Court during a three-day competition.
This year, 50/112 teams which were selected to participate in the Nuremberg Moot Court 2021 Online competition advanced to the Oral Rounds based on their results and equitable geographic representation. A maximum of 3 teams per country was accepted.
The teams advancing for Oral Rounds from Africa include; Cavendish University Uganda, Makerere University, Strathmore University (Kenya), National University of Lesotho, Menoufia University (Egypt) and Al-Azhar University (Egypt).

Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) was ably represented by a team of 4 students from the Faculty of Law namely; Mr. Lamin Sayang, Ms. Ninsiima Sufficient, Ms. Fatou Jaiteh and Mr. Ssengendo Julius.
Special acknowledgement goes out to Dr. Mugagga Robert, Mr. Ayeranga Godfrey and Mr. Herman Tuhairwe, all lecturers at the Faculty of Law at Cavendish University Uganda for their role in supporting the CUU participating team during the written phase of the competition.
The Nuremberg Moot Court is organised by the International Nuremberg Principles Academy and the International Criminal Law Research Unit at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg who collaborate with highly esteemed professionals, such as national and international judges, academics, and other legal practitioners.
