
Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) actively participated in the Tambula Mengo Run 2025, a flagship charity event held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Mengo Senior School. The event was organised to raise funds for the construction of a modern multi-story dining hall, designed to include a kitchen, canteen, IT hall, auditorium, and gymnasium facilities aimed at enhancing the learning and social environment for students.
Cavendish’s involvement in the Tambula Mengo Run 2025 reflects the university’s strong commitment to community development, social responsibility, and promoting health and well-being. By partnering with Mengo Senior School, Alumni, and other stakeholders, the university supports initiatives that enhance educational facilities, strengthen community bonds, and contribute to sustainable growth. This engagement demonstrates Cavendish University’s dedication to creating long-lasting positive impact, empowering students and the wider community, and fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and shared progress.

After the run, the event continued with a lively programme that brought the community together. Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago and other local leaders attended the event, emphasising the importance of collective support for educational initiatives. Many prospective students expressed enthusiasm to join Cavendish University after completion of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE), highlighting the university’s growing reputation and appeal among the next generation of learners.
