Cavendish University Deputy Vice Chancellor Elected Board Member, Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU)



On the afternoon of 14th April 2023, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda, Dr Olive Sabiiti was elected to the Board of Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU). This was during the 14th RENU annual general meeting held at WIN5 Hotel, Kampala. The position was heavily contested with 10 nominees.

RENU is a vital organisation that facilitates research and collaboration among member institutions including; universities, tertiary institutions, schools, and research organisations. Dr. Sabiiti’s election to the board is a testament to her expertise and dedication to advancing education and research in Uganda.

As a board member, the Deputy Vice Chancellor will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of RENU’s strategic direction and ensure that it aligns with the needs of the academic community. The CUU fraternity is confident that Dr. Sabiiti will bring her extensive knowledge and experience to the board, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on RENU and its member institutions.

Currently, the board has members from Makerere University (MAK), Kampala International University (KIU), Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Mbarara University of Science & Technology (MUST), Uganda Christian University (UCU) and now, Cavendish University Uganda (CUU).
