As a Cavendish graduate, you can continue to use the Careers and Employability Services to help you build your
Careers and Employability. We appreciate that many of you may be facing uncertainties about your future careers
and employability plans most especially in the light of COVID-19 and we are here to work with you, offering
professional guidance and advice on how to proceed. Write to the Careers and Employability office through
employability@cavendish.ac.ug to access all our resources to help you from thinking through career ideas to helping
you through the recruitment process, including handouts on CV/Resume and application/cover letter writing, job
interview advice, setting up a business, or project etc. We can set you to talk to an alumni for advice, careers and
employability consultant, and may also be able to offer you a suitable appointment.
Please note that we are not able to offer: extended careers and employability counselling or coaching, advice on
mid-careers and employability progression in the same field, given that our expertise lies in supporting current
students and recent graduates.
As our Alumni keep in touch and help us provide great Careers and Employability services. In 15 months after
completing your course you will be asked to complete the Graduate Outcome survey, so that we can gather your
views. Please keep your contact information up-to-date.
Also share your experience, it can help current students:
In the August Semester, we prioritise final year students in terms of getting an appointment with a Careers
Consultant. However, if you have a query do drop-in or attend the virtual coaching webinar series. We shall try our
best to help.
Remember that you can use the Careers and Employability Services even after you graduate.
