Ashesi University Education Collaborative Team Pays Courtesy Visit to Cavendish University Uganda



A team of top Executives from the Education Collaborative at Ashesi University in Ghana paid a courtesy visit to Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) from 07th – 08th December 2021. The team consisted of Ms. Rose Dodd – Director, Education Collaboration, Ms. Araba Botchway – Executive Director Admissions and Financial Aid, and Ms. Vanessa Sam – Operations and member development, Education Collaborative.

The team was warmly welcomed by the Executive Director of Cavendish University, Mr. David Mutabanura and ushered to a meeting with the Senior Management Team at CUU. During the meeting, the two teams explored strategies to foster collaboration between themselves and other institutions in Africa. The Education Collaborative team was taken through the structure, culture, pedagogy and student lifestyle at Cavendish University Uganda and in turn, the team also shared the objectives of the Collaborative and how the two institutions could maximise the benefits at hand.

The Education Collaborative is a platform that aims to facilitate the sharing of best practices in university teaching, management, and administration among institutions committed to educating ethical entrepreneurial leaders for Africa. Its vision is to build a network of institutions and individuals committed to solving Africa’s biggest challenges through education.

During their visit, the Education Collaborative team had a chance to tour around the Cavendish University campuses, namely; Acacia Campus that houses the School of Law at Bukoto Street, and the main campus, Seyani that houses the rest of the Faculties.
