In a press conference held on 28th January 2022, Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) celebrated the re-opening of on-campus learning by announcing 35 Merit, Leadership, and Exemplary Performance Scholarship Awards to successful applicants for the 2022 January Intake.
The Scholarships are awarded based on academic quality, leadership, and exemplary performance orientation. This year a total of 60 scholarships will be awarded as CUU continues to build on and respond to community and societal needs in line with the University’s academic model. Qualified applicants will study for any degree of their choice.
During the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Mugisha encouraged the awardees to participate in co-curricular activities tailored by the university to help them build networks, develop interpersonal skills and build character.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic Affairs, Dr. Olive Sabiiti remarked that the Institution awards scholarships so that the recipients can benefit from the University’s excellent Academic model.

The same celebrations saw the launching of a Master’s Degree in Educational Management that is focused on consolidating global best practices and innovations that were enhanced by the challenges of Covid-19.
The scholarship candidates were informed that the official re-opening of the University and the start of classes for 2022 January Intake will commence on Monday, 31st of January 2022.
